My love affair with Bears started long ago and as time passed I have collected many Bears..Some say too Many! Chad and I decided to try our hand at making a Bear for ourselves and from that first Bear (Harry) we were addicted! So we became known as BraggAbout Bears! I am a full time carer for my disabled mum, which means I am at home most of the time.The design and creation of the BraggAbout bears takes me away from everyday things.
Each BraggAbout Bear is one of a kind, ranging from old fashioned traditional to whimsical characters! Every bear comes with their own story and unique personality. All our Bears are filled with a heavyweight polyester/cotton stuffing,woodwool, and depending on the style of bear, steel shot, elastomer pellets or glass shots will be used to create the appropriate feel and weight. All our bears have glass eyes and we use the best quality mohair, wool felt , cashmere fabrics, plush, leather or suede to create our bears. The bears are fully jointed using cotter pin joints and come complete with swing tags and a certificate of who they are.
We are based in the beautiful city of Lincoln, so each BraggAbout bear is created within the sound of Lincoln Cathederal bells!
All the bears wooden accessories are hand carved by Chad in his workshop.
